Describe your DJ style:
Gate City Sound will play the songs that YOU want to hear! We send out materials to ensure we play what you want and avoid what you do not want to hear. We like to keep the energy going and help ensure everyone has a wonderful time.
Is there a limit to the amount of music that can be requested?
No! You name it and we will play it.
What is your usual attire?
Our attire is what is requested of us. Tux? Suit & Tie? It is up to you.
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
If we know about this prior to the event, we can make sure we have it ready for you.
How many other DJs do you work with?
We have a few DJs which work for GCS.
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
No minimum.
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
Yes.
Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?
We can accommodate just about any type of event.
Can the client submit a do-not-play list?
Absolutely!
Do you bring your own equipment?
Yes.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
We can supply lights, hazers, fog machines and lasers upon request.
How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
A minimum of one hour set up time is preferable and this time is of no charge to our client. This ensures that we are ready to go when you are.
Do you have any extra space requirements?
That would depend on the size and option of the package your choose. In most cases, size is absolutely no issue at all.
Do you have a sign or banner that you use at events?
No
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
Emcee responsibilities are no problem. However, talking between songs is kept to a minimum unless the client requests it.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
Meals are always welcomed but the music NEVER STOPS. No breaks are expected.
Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?
Yes
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
We have other DJs with comparable sound systems which can fill in if an unlikely event prohibits us from being available.
Do you book yourself for more than one event in a day?
No
What is your overtime rate?
$80 per hour
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
It all depends on the travel distance. If the event is out of our normal travel radius, then additional expenses may be necessary to cover fuel and over night lodging.
What is the required deposit to secure your services?
$100
